Length-Weight Relation of the Angular Rough Shark, Oxynotus centrina (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Mediterranean Sea

Oxynotus centrina is considered a rare or uncommon shark species throughout its distribution range. Because of this reason, it one the 46 elasmobranchs in Mediterranean Sea, which requires filling knowledge gaps, such as length-weight relations. Based on analysis 34 angular rough sharks, relations (LWR) males, females and combined sexes O. were described W = 0.216L2.686, 0.134L3.041 W=0.102L3.173, respectively. Total lengths (TL) strongly correlated with total weights (TW); while TL males was moderately TW. The b values LWRs (3.041 3.173, respectively) not significantly different from 3.0 (t-test, p>0.10) indicated positive allometric growth for examined TW range Sea.
